We make our Main to fit the Hobie 17 (Sport) with a specially-made 6 oz. Colored Dacron It is designed to utilize your existing 6 full battens and new battens are sold separately. The sail attaches along the luff with a bolt rope that slides up into the mast tunnel. A standard size view window is included in the sail.
The price does not include the short boomlet, which you can transfer from the old sail to the new one by removing two pop rivets and sliding it off your sail. Also, please note, the batten positions in our sail are a little higher up in the sail than the standard Hobie sail. This can create the appearance of a smaller sail when in fact, it is actually a little larger. You may need to trim your battens to fit the new sail.
We can also apply full-color graphics and images of any kind in our in-house sail graphics division.
