Peter Grimm, Jr.

Peter Grimm, Jr., began his sailmaking career in 1981 and joined Super in November of 1989. With a lifetime of experience in a sailing family racing and cruising all sizes of keelboats, Peter knows as much about sailing, sail cloth, sail shape, and sail construction as anyone in the business. Peter has well over 100,000 sea miles under his belt, and extensive knowledge of some of the most advanced superyacht projects. He specializes in our large custom sails, but will be glad to help you with any question you might have. Peter has over twenty-five years of experience in the sailmaking industry.

Bob Meagher III

Bob Meagher III joined Super Sailmakers in 1998. Bob spent his youth racing Optimist Dinghies, Lasers, and 420's, building on that experience in numerous PHRF and one-design classes. A former Tufts University sailor and current U.S. Sailing Senior judge, Bob can be found these days racing in or judging competitive one-design classes around the country. He has also become one of the country's leading experts in cruising multihull sails.

Scott Loomis

Scott Loomis' career parallels the history of modern sailmaking. Beginning in the cloth division of Hood Sailmakers in 1974, the facility that perfected woven Dacron and pioneered the earliest laminated Kevlar and Spectra fabrics, he later served as production manager for Ted Hood and Robbie Doyle, building original inventories for legendary boats like Kialoa, Boomerang, Intrepid and Courageous.

Barr Batzer

Barr Batzer heads our graphics department, adding custom, full-color graphics to sails of all kinds. Barr has been a fixture in the South Florida sailing community since his parents took him for his first sail at just two weeks old, and ever since, sailing has run through his veins. In Florida, the Bahamas, and across the world, Barr has sailed the widest variety of boats from small boats like Lasers and Sunfish to comfortable cruisers like Beneteaus and Santanas. In addition, Barr's racing resume includes victories in the Lightning, Melges 24, Mumm 30, and Etchells classes.

Julia Semon

Julia joined Super Sailmakers in 2013 after a long career in the marine and aviation industries. A native of Southampton, England, Julia learned to sail in Mirror dinghies and spent years racing and cruising the English Channel (brrr!) in her Beneteau Oceanis 43, and won her class in Cowes Week, before coming to American and enjoying the warmer cruising grounds of Southwest Floirda in her Hunter 38. Julia is in the office most days, happy to help you with small boat orders, and to help make sure the Super ship sails straight!

Bryan Sullivan

Bryan serves as Service Manager, coordinating the hundreds of sails that come to us each year for repair or modification. A veteran of Hood and North Sailmakers, Bryan grew up sailing on his family's cruising boats along the south shore of Massachusetts, and continues to enjoy light cruising and club racing. He has repaired, rebuilt, or reshaped sails from 14' Hobies to 140' suyperyachts, and ranks as one of the best in the business today.
