The batten set for the Prindle 16 is designed to support the roach of the sail and maintain the sail as a smooth airfoil. Made from pultruded fiberglass, they feature a "Saturn-like" profile that adds stiffness while minimizing weight. Slightly longer than the batten pockets in the sail, they are secured by lashing the sail's tie-in lines through the attached endcap on the aft end of the batten. More durable than lighter battens, they will provide years of enjoyment.
