The newer version of the Jib for the Capri 14.2 is built from a white 3.9 oz. Dacron made by Challenge Sailcloth, America's premier manufacturer of woven sailcloth. The sail attaches along the luff with a wire internal to the luff exiting at the head and tack for attachment.
The new version of the jib, for boats after 1996, has a longer foot (7' 10") than the older version of the sail (7' 1"). Also, the luff is 13' 3" instead of the old version's 12'.
