The Main for the 420 is built from a white 3.9 oz. Dacron made by Challenge Sailcloth, America's premier manufacturer of woven sailcloth. It includes one full batten and 3 partial battens. The sail attaches along the luff with a bolt rope that slides up into the mast tunnel. A drawstring sailbag is included for storage.
While not certified class-legal for nationally sanctioned competition, the sails are built to class measurements. In fact, we've built several sets of sails for clubs across the country, including the championship high school teams of the Lauderdale Yacht Club, featured in the photos below.
